Adventure is one of the perks of SUP and it’s what keeps us all coming back for more. But, it’s not always as easy and fun as it looks. Things can and likely will go wrong at some point and no-one knows this better than some of SUP’s most experienced adventure paddlers Bart de Zwart and Gabriel Gray. When thinking of stand up paddling many imagine the warm, clear waters of somewhere tropical like Hawaii, Tahiti, or Florida as the perfect, most beautiful places to get on a SUP and explore. While there is no doubt that the places listed above are dreamy, there are places farther away from the equator that require a bit more than wearing just a bikini or board shorts but are still breathtakingly beautiful when paddling around. 2. SIC Maui and the WPA Announce All-New ONE CLASS SUP Racing Series

SIC Maui, and the WPA (World Paddle Association) announce an all-new ONE CLASS SUP racing series. One Class racing made its debut in an exhibition event in May at the 2019 Salt Life Cup in Columbus, Georgia. The WPA and APP World Tour now recognize ONE CLASS and will include this division in select events for 2019 with an expanded schedule planned for 2020 in North America and around the world. For 2019 you can register for specific race events listed on the WPA's website or look for events posted on the SUP One Class Facebook page. More details HERE.

Attending a standup paddle boarding event is one of the best ways to enjoy the sport. It’s the perfect place to be introduced to the sport as a spectator, it’s a great place to learn and try new products, and it’s also a great way to connect with those who enjoy the sport just as much as you do.
