Who is it for?
If you’re looking for an affordable, non-inflatable paddle board that is perfect for beginners check out the BIC Performer Tough. Offered in three sizes (9’2”, 10’6”, 11’6”) and just as its name suggests, the BIC Performer Tough is extremely tough and durable. The durability does affect the weight of the board making it a bit heavy (32 lbs) but it’s well worth the beating it’s able to handle. The board is also very stable with a width of 31.2 in. making it perfect for beginner paddlers and is something the entire family can enjoy. Meant primarily for all around paddling, the Performer Tough is best used when paddled in short distances, near the beach or shoreline. Starting at just $699, the Performer Tough is an excellent option for someone looking for something affordable, durable and something that paddlers of all skill levels can enjoy.
First Impressions
The BIC Performer Tough Tec is the beater in the BIC line. It’s built a bit heavier than the usual paddle board but is intended to take a beating. So if you’re looking for a board that the entire family can use where you can have a complete piece of mind when it comes to durability and an all-around shape that can be in the surf, with primarily flat-water use, and sticking close to the shoreline, then this is your board. The BIC Performer Tough Tec is at a great price point and for 2019 features new colors with a blue base and orange accent colors which adds nice graphics to what has typically been just a white board, making it a bit more lively.
