Surprise Results Take Over 32nd Annual Santa Cruz Paddlefest

The 32nd Annual Santa Cruz Paddlefest was one for the books as stand up paddle surfers and racers took to the waters in Santa Cruz, California. The 10k Pro Elite race for both the men and women were the talk of the weekend as the results had everyone buzzing.

USA Paddleboard Championships to Partner With Jay Race

The Paddleboard side of USA Surfing confirmed today the date for its 2017 USA Paddleboard Championship Event and Team Trials - June 17, 2017. For the first time the USA Paddleboard Championship will be held in conjunction with The 16th Annual Jay Moriarity Memorial Paddleboard Race (Jay Race) in Santa Cruz, California.

30th Annual Santa Cruz Paddlefest Highlight Video

The 30th annual Santa Cruz Paddlefest was one for the books. The weather was perfect, waves consistent, and company incredible. Big thanks to Matt Hoff for all his hard work organizing and all the athletes who absolutely tore it up! Paddle Boarder Has Dangerously Close Encounter With A Whale

In what can be seen as a very dangerous encounter that could have ended in disaster, one paddle boarder now has the story of a lifetime. While paddling in the waters of Santa Cruz, California, one paddler almost got swallowed (literally) by a humpback whale. Eric Garcia, who captured the video of the encounter describes in detail what happened on the morning of November 24, 2015.
