Repeat Carolina Cup Victories for Hönscheid and Booth

With near-perfect weather and racing conditions, Germany's Sonni Hönscheid and Michael Booth of Australia successfully defended their championships in the punishing 21-kilometer Graveyard Race at Carolina Cup in Wrightsville Beach. Both plan to go for three in a row in 2020.

After the Tragedy, Sri Lankan Waves Will Win

I recently came back from Sri Lanka, after a one-month-long trip to explore its vast coastline and assess its potential for stand up paddling. All I can say - after seeing the news about these terrorist attacks targeting foreigners and Christians communities throughout the country - is that I am saddened by these terrible news and I hope that the country will find the necessary strength and resilience to overcome the tragic moment.

New Champions Crowned at 6th Annual Air France Paddle Festival

This year for its 6th annual event, the Air France Paddle Festival saw new champions and cemented itself as one of the best race events of the year. Japan’s Yuka Sato and New Caledonia’s Titouan Puyo claimed victory, surviving brutally-hot conditions and outlasting spirited attacks from the local warriors in a memorable day of racing.

This year’s journey from Bimini to Florida, scheduled for June 15, is open to stand up or prone boards, surf skis, outrigger canoes and dories, with a potential of $100,000 in cash purses for the competitive categories.
