15-year old Surf and Stand-Up Paddleboarding phenom Slater Trout will make a guest appearance at the YOLO Board Stand-Up Paddle Series Race.

Stand-up paddling (SUP) came full circle back to its home of Waikiki, Hawaii, this weekend, surpassing every conceivable expectation with the ultimate combination of sport and lifestyle.

The stand up paddling world will be turning its attention to the birth place of the sport once again. On June 12-13 the 2010 Rainbow Sandals Gerry Lopez Battle of the Paddle.

Doheny State Beach once again paid host to the this years  Hobie / Hennessey’s Waterman’s Challenge.

Event #2 of the Quicksilver Tahoe SUP series, the 8 mile Thunderbird Run, was held along the eastern shores of Lake Tahoe starting and finishing at Sand Harbor State Park.

Coming back from Hawaii to visit his home turf in Florida proves to be a welcoming for 15 year old Slater Trout. Although the temperature and conditions were extreme, Slater kept his cool.

On May 15 & 16, the hard working, local team at Multisports.com hosted the Annual Encinitas Sports Festival (ESF) at Moonlight Beach.  The ESF is an annual  2 day community event which consists of several endurance challenges.

British Adventurers Dave Cornthwaite and Sarah Outen aim to be the first to Stand Up Paddle between Bath and London.

There is a point, part-way across the Molokai Channel, where land cannot be seen on the horizon and the 2,300 feet of ocean beneath you no longer seem buoyant. It is around the 10-mile mark of the 32-mile crossing
