New Champions Crowned at 6th Annual Air France Paddle Festival

This year for its 6th annual event, the Air France Paddle Festival saw new champions and cemented itself as one of the best race events of the year. Japan’s Yuka Sato and New Caledonia’s Titouan Puyo claimed victory, surviving brutally-hot conditions and outlasting spirited attacks from the local warriors in a memorable day of racing.

Join the Crossing For A Cure On A Fantastic Journey

Ahoy paddlers! Are you ready to embark on a great adventure, for a good cause, with a wonderful crew? Crossing For A Cure would love to welcome you aboard. This year’s journey from Bimini to Florida, scheduled for June 15, is open to stand up or prone boards, surf skis, outrigger canoes and dories, with a potential of $100,000 in cash purses for the competitive categories. You can paddle as a solo or relay competitor, or as part of a recreational relay team.

Catching Up With Michael Booth Ahead of 2019 Race Season

Rated one of the top two paddlers in the world in both the Paddle League and APP rankings, Australian Michael Booth returns to Wrightsville Beach to defend his Carolina Cup championship April 24-28. In the interview, Boothy discusses his incredible 2018 season; the upcoming Carolina Cup and 2019 season; his strategy and training; and, some thoughts about the sport of SUP.

Florence Paddle Games Joins 2019 APP Tour

Italy’s premier Stand Up Paddle event will be held in Florence from Friday 10 May to Sunday 12 May on the Arno River in the iconic setting of the Ponte Vecchio. For the first time the Italian competition becomes part of the APP World Tour.

Carolina ProAm Returns As Pro Tour Qualifier

South End Surf Shop proudly announces the Salt Life Carolina Pro-Am to be held on April 20-21, 2019 at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. The fifth annual SUP Surf event brings together the top amateurs and the world’s best sup surfers to North Carolina. This contest will serve as an APP World Tour Qualifying event promoted by the World Paddle Association (WPA).

Pacific Paddle Games Cancelled for 2019

In a very unfortunate announcement today, SUP Magazine is announcing it will not hold the 2019 Pacific Paddle Games (PPG). Despite its decision to no longer produce the event, SUP Magazine is working with its sanctioning partner, the Association of Paddlesurf Professionals (APP), and California State Parks to explore options to bring PPG back in 2020.
