DESTIN, Florida - Meet Matt Wise, the Floridian super-grom who is starting to make a name for himself on the paddle racing circuit. At only eighteen years old, he's already racked up an impressive list of results, including first place finishes in the Under 17 division at the Hennessey WPA World Championships in Las Vegas, the Orange Bowl Paddle Championship in Miami and the Carolina Cup SUP Race in Wrightsville Beach. In 2013 he also qualified and competed in both the 2013 Rainbow Sandals Gerry Lopez Battle of the Paddle elite technical race and elite distance race in Dana Point, getting his first taste of competition against the world's best. This week we threw a different challenge at him, asking 10 questions about his life, training schedule and opinions.
