YOLO Board Elite Rider Matt Wise Ready to Move Forward

 

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla – YOLO Board Elite Rider Matt Wise has made his presence known as an up-and-coming talent on the SUP race scene in his final season of competition in the 17 and Under Division with several first place finishes in 2013. An all-around waterman, the Miramar Beach, FL resident is also sponsored by Kialoa and Maui Rippers and competes in regional and national life saving competitions in addition to SUP racing.

Wise’s achievements in the 17 and Under Elite division for the 2013 race season include first place at the Hennessey WPA World Championships in Las Vegas, the Orange Bowl Paddle Championship in Miami and the Carolina Cup SUP Race in Wrightsville Beach. Wise also marked his third consecutive division first place finish in the Florida State Paddleboard Championship in Cocoa Beach and second victory in the East Coast Paddleboard Championship in Daytona Beach. He qualified and competed in both the 2013 Rainbow Sandals Gerry Lopez Battle of the Paddle elite technical race and elite distance race in Dana Point.
