Stand Up For Clean Water in 2014

MALIBU, California - Join LA Waterkeeper for an incredible day on the water to raise awareness about stormwater runoff and ocean pollution at the 3rd Annual STAND-UP FOR CLEAN WATER paddleboard race. Hundreds of clean water supporters and outdoor enthusiasts will gather at Paradise Cove in Malibu, CA to participate in stand-up paddle races and demos, and enjoy a day on the beach with friends and family to benefit LAWaterkeeper as they lead the fight to protect and restore the waterways in Los Angeles County.

Stand Up Paddle Board Demo

Meet the world’s best shapers and manufacturers, check out their latest board designs and paddle innovations. Naturally there will be demo boards and paddles of all shapes and sizes available for those who want to perfect their stroke or even try SUP for the first time.

Awards Ceremony and After Party

Free admission for all race registrants, $20 general admission. 2:00- 4:00 PM
Food and Drink generously provided by Paradise Cove Beach Café.

Beer donated by New Belgium Brewing. First 300 participants will receive a pint glass compliments of New Belgium!

Silent Auction & Raffle with tons of great items including boards, paddles, restaurant gift certificates, local retail store gift cards and merchandise, boat adventures, a beach cruiser, and a Malibu Custom Cart!

Pre-Race Clinics

First-timer or want to improve your skills before race day? Join PROSUPSHOP for group training with some of LA's most experienced, highly trained SUP coaches and be a part of the 2014 Splash Stand Up Paddle Race Club. Members get 50% off SUP lessons, rentals, workouts and race training events from now until our race April 12th at Paradise Cove, Malibu. Get your feet wet and join a community of like-minded, water enthusiasts who want to try SUP for the first time or take their SUP skills to the next level.

The details:

Come out every Wednesday night from 7pm to 9pm for a sunset paddle -- get tips from the Pros, workout while you work on your stroke and have fun! (usual price $45 --$22.50 for club members).

Stand Up Paddle Board Lessons

Every Saturday And Sunday PROSUPSHOP will be down at Mothers Beach in Marina Del Rey behind Jamaica Bay Inn giving SUP lessons, renting race boards, and going over race technique. Cick Here to register for Pro SUP Shop Lessons.

Yoga

Yoga Demos and Lessons will be held on the beach at Paradise Cove at 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

Add Parking & Site Info

$6 self parking and $10 valet parking will be available at Paradise Cove.

Automated self parking machines take cash or credit card. Valet parking is cash only. Proceeds from parking will be donated to Los Angeles Waterkeeper by Paradise Cove.

Board Drop-Off will be available near registration. Pull into the Paradise Cove parking lot and drop off your board (right by the sand), and then park and pay.
