Dave Kalama To Host Kalama Kamp May 6-9

 

NORTH SHORE, Maui - Lumeria Maui is excited to announce that legendary Maui waterman and pioneer in stand up paddling, Dave Kalama, will host his first ever Maui Kalama Kamp at Lumeria Maui this May 6-9, 2013.

 

Lumeria Maui is Hawaii’s premier luxury watersports, meditation and yoga retreat.  This six acre sanctuary envelops you in an intimate environment of barefoot elegance and is located on Maui’s North Shore only a few miles from Ho’okipa Beach, Maliko Bay and the historic plantation town of Pa’ia.

 

Stand Up Paddling has many disciplines; one of the most thrilling experiences is downwind paddling. The Maliko Run on Maui’s North Shore is the gold standard when it comes to downwinding. Dave Kalama is excited to share his home waters with the world, and invites individuals to experience downwinding at Kalama Kamp! Kalama Kamp will take place the week before the Olukai Ho’olaule’a Race, and camp participants are encouraged to stick around and participate in the race.
