Candice Appleby Joins Team Infinity

DANA POINT, California - Infinity Surfboard & SUP Co. is proud to announce that 6x BOP Champ and Women’s SUP megastar Candice Appleby has joined the #‎infinityspeedfreaks. Already a living legend in the sport of SUP and an icon to Women across the globe, Candice joins Slater Trout, Dave Boehne, and Anthony Vela rounding out the creative and diverse group of “5UP P1RATE5” on Infinity’s Elite Team.

Born and raised in Southern California, Candice has been a freak ocean athlete all her life. Competing in Surfing, Ocean triathlons, Canoe surfing, body surfing, prone paddle boarding, lifeguard competitions and several ASP events. She is the 6x BOP champion, has been featured as “Woman of the Year” in StandUp Journal as well as taking home the “Woman Paddler of the Year” award at the inaugural SUP Awards. Candice has also finished 3rd in the World surf SUP rankings on the StandUp World Tour.

As much as Candice is known for her relentless competitive drive, she is also dedicated to giving back as she has launched the Anti-Bullying campaign called “Stand Up for Children” and started her own business with Anthony Vela called “Performance Paddling” She has also been a huge influence on the youth of SUP hosting the premier juniors SUP Surf and Race event “Junior Pro and Youth SUP Fiesta” giving youth paddlers a platform to success.

With Infinity’s support, Candice is taking this opportunity to evolve even more as an athlete chasing her first Stand Up World Tour surfing title. “I am so excited to join Infinity and their cast of characters! I’ve always admired the brand from a distance. The way they go about their business is refreshing and being next door to headquarters gives me a chance to work closely with Steve and Dave Boehne on my equipment. Infinity’s performance SUP surf range is second to none” says Candice. “It gives me the confidence to really chase my title dreams this year”.

Watch Candice make her Infinity debut this month with the first stop on the 2015 Women’s Stand Up World Tour - Turtle Bay Women’s Pro kicking off on the North Shore of Oahu Saturday, February 7th.

With Candice joining the #‎infinityspeedfreaks, she is now able to ride Infinity custom boards in surf-related events while also working with and riding Bark custom boards for the race specific events.
