SUP Against Depression, The Journey Continues

Will Schmidt is Stand Up Paddling against depression on Infinity SUP.

DANA POINT, California - Southern California Lifestyle SUP Athlete, Will Schmidt, has teamed up with Infinity SUP for his latest ocean challenge which is being called, "Stand Up Paddle Against Depression: The Journey Continues!"

While exclusively paddling 14' Infinity race boards, Schmidt will attempt a solo open ocean stand up paddle journey that will launch from Oxnard, CA, touch all eight Channel Islands and land in Dana Point Harbor. This attempt will be the first of its kind.  

Escorted by the "Campbell Sloop", a 34' Catalina Sailboat, Schmidt will negotiate roughly 320 nautical miles of open water during a week long paddle which began yesterday when he traveled to Channel Islands Harbor.  Today he is expected to begin his on-the-water progress by 9 or 10 in the morning local time.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project to aid in anxiety, depression, and PTSD research as well as Casa Hogar Orphanage in Mexico.
