CHRISTMAS ISLAND, Kiribati - The island nation of Kiribati, located in the central pacific, is comprised of 33 atolls and reef islands that, largely due to global warming, have been slowly disappearing with the rising of the oceans.

Carine Camboulives & Manu Bouvet are professional BIC SUP board riders based in Maui, Hawaii. For the last 15 years they've been searching for the perfect spot all over the world. Today, together with their 2 daughters, Lou & Shadé, 8 & 2 years-old, they fulfill their appetite of discovery and exotic culture not only by surfing perfect waves but by bringing awareness on environmental challenges.

In a film by Martin Keruzoré, this paddle boarding family heads to the island nation of Kiribati, specifically to Christmas Island, where they surf epic, uncrowded waves, and aim to educate and bring awareness to not only themselves, but to the inhabitants of the islands and atolls of Kiribati.

Watch and enjoy the film, No Gift for Christmas Island below.
